Hi, my name is Tanya. As the Founder and CEO of Unbreakable Survivors, I am dedicated to empowering businesses to recognize and address the signs of abuse within their organizations. Our mission is to educate and train business leaders, managers, and employees to identify indicators of abuse among colleagues, understand its profound effects on workplace dynamics, and implement effective support systems.
Why is this important? Domestic violence and workplace abuse are pervasive issues that significantly impact individuals and organizations. In the United States, survivors of domestic violence lose approximately eight million days of paid work annually, equating to 32,000 full-time jobs (thehotline.org/resources/empowering-domestic-violence-survivors-in-the-workplace). Moreover, nearly 33% of women killed in U.S. workplaces between 2003 and 2008 were attacked by current or former intimate partners (thehotline.org/stakeholders/domestic-violence-statistics).
Through tailored workshops and online training sessions, we equip organizations with the tools to:
